This is the portfolio website of Anu (Anuksha Abeysinghe), a creative and marketing strategist based in Vancouver, British Columbia. This page explains what happens to your information when you visit madebyanu.com, and it follows Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What this site collects

• Nothing you type. This site has no sign-up, comment or contact forms, and no accounts.
• Anonymous visit statistics. We use Google Analytics (GA4). It sets cookies and records aggregated usage such as which pages are viewed, approximate city-level location, and device and browser type. It does not tell us who you are.

Why we collect it

Only to understand which parts of the portfolio people read, so the site can be improved. The statistics are not sold, and they are not used to build a profile of you.

Cookies and how to avoid them

Google Analytics uses cookies to tell one visit from another. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use private browsing, or install Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site works the same either way.

Who else sees it

Google processes the analytics data and may store it on servers outside Canada, under Google’s privacy policy. The web host’s servers also keep ordinary technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.

Links to other sites

The portfolio links to other sites, including Infinfy Solutions (the agency that built this site), Lanka Bloom and The Canada Guardian. If you use the “Build with Infinfy” or “Discuss a project” buttons, you leave this site and your details are handled under that site’s own policy. For Infinfy that is infinfy.com/privacy.html.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for a correction, or withdraw consent. Because this site does not collect personal details directly, there is normally nothing to retrieve, but you are welcome to ask.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
